Treasurer’s Report: County payment should be here any day. Tonia said the county portal is
wonky. Cathy motioned to accept, Anthony 2nd, motion passes.
Committee Updates:
Mayor’s Race- Almost $1000 tickets sold on Eventbrite thus far.
Mayor’s Dinner- Plan? Tri tip Dinner, Nov 1st Cathy, Stacey adding to committee, launch by Oct
1st, Mayors candidate plus 1, free entry. Tri Tip dinner to be prepared and served by Daniel and
LeeAnn again.Cost is about $25 a plate.
Community Champion- Only 2 entries so far, Please interact.Bitly great site to make the
nomination link smaller. Put flyers at Tummy’s, Rio Java, and Legion.
Light Contest/Parade- Troy asked John to put an entry form on the website.
Scholarship-no update
Mixers-Business Bingo coming up at 6:30 at American Legion. Sept 25th. Oct 9th, come Boo
With Your Business Crew at Tummy’s, date is being worked out.
Community Membership/Involvement- The Wild Iris signed back up.
County- Sustainable Business, Sept 17th.
Grant Committee- Vacancies on a couple. John will help with AI, Cathy will help with another.
Old Business
1.Passports (Tonia)- Finalized the print copy.
2.Member Presentation(Cathy)- Reminder for business to become a member, for all the perks.
New Business
1.Director positions- Revisit next month.John expressed he will not be seeking
re-election next year.
Director Comments: Stacey- Dry Creek Planning Committee planning for a ground
0 disk golf course . Business Watch- keep going, Sept 9th @ 10:30. Twin Rivers is
very busy.Play ground at Westside completed. Sac County Business walk this
Friday, at 1pm.
John- All the lights are out at the old Rite Aide, Rio Linda should be involved in
what happens to that building. Rio Linda Online 6 followers away 20,000 and 1
million views. Kathy- Legion had a car show Saturday, 2 meals coming up to
benefit the Mayor’s Race. The Golf Tournament is on the 19th. Trunk or Treat Oct
24th. Troy has 10 tickets for all you can eat dinner for the fire truck. Golden Ray
now offers roof moss removal. Tonia- Catan tournament was a success. Pickleball
tournament this Saturday for the Mayor’s Race.
Public comments: Jessica- special this week smoked pulled pork sandwich. Meg-
fall food items coming back, baked potatoes, nachos, and caramel apples.Cotton
candy available at the Country Faire. Debra Crowe- phase 2 for papa murpheys
wall, asking for ideas.
