Approval of the prior minutes: Tonia motioned to accept the minutes with spelling correction,
Troy 2nd. Motion carries.
Treasurer’s Report: County paid some of the grant money. The money will show on the next
month’s report . Troy motioned to accept as presented. Dan 2nd. Motion carries.
Committee Updates:
Mayor’s Race-Mayor’s Race ends on the 15th. Eventbrite closes at 11:59pm on 10/15/25.
Mayor’s Dinner- 42 tickets sold so far for the dinner, $40 tickets. Seeking budget for raffle for
voters who bought tickets. Dan motioned $445.20 Anthony 2nd. Motion carries.
Community Champion- Less entries this year. Meeting on Thursday to discuss.
Light Contest/Parade- no update
Scholarship-no update
Mixers-Business Bingo went well. Boo with Business crew Oct 19th.
Community Membership/Involvement- 3 new members and in talks with another.
Look at new businesses in the community reach out..
County- John and Stacey redid the pamphlet for Chamber. Economic Development pamphlet passed out at Rosario’s meeting. Stacey is going to email LeeAnn some resources to promote. Business Watch at 10:30 on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Rio Java.
Grant Committee-No update.
Old Business
1.Passports (Tonia)- Revisit next month.
2.Director positions- All except John interested in keeping positions. Cathy appointed Tonia, Joe, and Jay. All accepted.
New Business
1. Fundraising- Dan- Pizza Challenge Tasting. Dan will bring back a plan/proposal
next month.
2. Venmo-Tonia: Dan motioned to get Venmo, Troy 2nd, motion passes.
3. Ornament Exchange-LeeAnn Dec 7th at 4pm. Revisit next month.
4. Chamber Signs-revisit. Dan motioned $626 to purchase 3 new signs. Troy 2nd.
Motion passes.
Director Comments: Liliette- Final plumbing & electrical inspections happening, grand opening coming soon. Tonia- Great event at the Grotto. Troy- went on the business walk with Supervisor. Parks & Rec 5:30- 8pm at parks & rec. Cathy, Harvest festival at lifepointe Oct 31st. Rummage sale this Sat at Lifepointe church. Stacey- Elkhorn Trophy back at Highschool. Rio Linda FFA floral subscription available and Tri tip dinner on sale. Michelle Montoya’s monument tree is
dying. Reaching out to her family to replace the tree. Anthony- Rio Java has new fall flavors. New smoothie mix. New energy drink.
Public comments: Jessica adding more soups daily. Closing at 4 on Halloween. Sheena- Troy is amazing. CPAC- community turnout was great. The new apartment complex was not received well. Micah is starting a new business in town. Daniel- joined Certified Small Business of California. Jay- new small businesses starting in The Shindig Spot. Joe appreciated Dan’s
comments.
