Eligibility:

• Open to all businesses and homes within Rio Linda & Elverta.

• Register with this form by December 6th.

• Displays must be set up and fully operational by December 18th for judging.

• Participants agree to have their address and photo posted for judging and on the Chamber's Christmas Light Map; your name will not be listed.

• The public will be driving by, viewing and photographing displays during the contest and Christmas time.

• There is a $5 entry fee for residential.

Display Guidelines:

• Decorations must include lighting and be visible from the street at night.

• Displays should be festive and family-friendly; inappropriate or offensive content will be disqualified.

Safety Guidelines:

• Decorations should not obstruct sidewalks, driveways, or public roads.

• Participants are responsible for their own displays.

Judging:

• By the Chamber Christmas Contest Subcommittee on Creativity/Originality, Holiday Spirit, Use of Space, Theme Cohesion, and Lighting.

Residential Prizes:

• 1st Place: $400

• 2nd Place: $200

• 3rd Place: $100

• "Clark Griswold" Award: $50 (most gloriously over-the-top display)

• The Christmas Classic Award: $50 (beautifully coordinated, picture-perfect display)

Business Prize:

• Award and Chamber social media recognition.
